The
requirement
Nothing adds more pride than adorning a place of high-value and importance to the list of
successful AV installations. Recently, we designed and installed an AV solution for the new
temple of RamaKrishna Mission Sevashrama, Silchar which is a branch center of Ramakrishna
Mission, Belur Math, Howrah. It is one of the biggest temples in North East India.
The new entity was constructed to commemorate 100 years of Ramkrishna Mission that was set
up in Silchar in the year 1924. The temple’s authorities wanted to have a world-class audio solution with renowned brands. Their objective was clear-to deliver better quality of sound and performance.
The teams of experienced system integrator, and audio solution provider Alphatec AV designed
an audio solution. Shree Krishna Sales and Service was headed by Mr Rajib Chutia, and Mr Debasish Deb headed the team of Alphatec AV.
The
challenge
In houses of worship, sound and its amplification plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall spiritual vibe of the temple. However, the architectural design of the temple halls posed a challenge. Their high ceilings, huge open spaces and aesthetics of the space were other areas of challenges. The chic granite and marble spaces reflected sound and had to be kept in mind while designing an audio solution. Besides, the competitors trying to vouch for other brands was also another challenge.
The
Solution
The audio solution was designed keeping in mind the technical and aesthetic requirements
suited for a house of worship of this scale. The detailed technical guidance and project’s
references gave Alphatec AV an edge over competitors.
It involved a combination of world-class AV brands from the portfolio of Alphatec AV. The brands employed were Audio Technica, Behringer, Tannoy and Labgruppen. Each one of them
are pioneers in their respective AV solutions. Tannoy’s VLS Series speakers (UK) were added to tackle the architectural and acoustic challenges. They are generally used where maximum intelligibility and minimum aesthetic impact are the driving concerns. Audio Technica’s (Japan) microphones, Behringer’s (Germany) mixers, and amplifiers from Labgruppen (Sweden) were
used.
The
IMPACT
The inauguration ceremony was attended by thousands of devotees and Maharaj Jis across the globe. They also appreciated the effect of the new sound system which amplified the chanting of the mantras and bhajans to be heard with purity and clarity. It made the environment transcendent allowing spiritual discourses, prayers, and chants to be heard with exceptional clarity across the expansive halls. With minimal visual intrusion and maximum sonic intelligibility, the integrated solution has preserved the sanctity and aesthetic integrity of the space.
All the stakeholders appreciated the timely support and technical guidance from the teams further pleased the authorities. In their unwavering commitment to impact and enrich human lives, the AV solution has rendered a befitting support.
Our impressive audio solution is another attempt in amplifying the faith in such missions.
