The
requirement
An audio solution that blends in the interiors and amps up the ambiance is a win-win situation. Modern-day hospitality businesses seek exactly such audio solutions. Recently, in the fleet of our AV installations, we designed an audio solution for another hospitality project. Located in the heart of Northeastern India, lies the best lounge bar of Guwahati, The Quench House. It is a casual-dining space that offers the best fusion of flavours. They wanted state-of- the-art technology to ensure better quality of sound and performance. Headed by Mr Rajib Chutia, Shree Krishna Sales and service was the system integrator of this project who hold years of experience in AV installations. Alphatec AV was the primary equipment and technical assistance provider.
The
challenge
Being a hospitality space, aesthetically pleasing audio solutions that provide even sound
coverage and intelligible sound, takes prominence while designing the solution. This makes the
placement of speakers a crucial task to be resolved.
Both these challenges involved detailed discussions with the stakeholders. It involved project
referencing too to experience the audio quality first-hand and that’s how the teams arrived at a
desired audio solution.
The
Solution
The audio solution involved a combination of brands across their product range, from capturing
audio to jazz up the entertainment. It involved speakers from Turbosound, Tannoy and
Behringer. Audio Technica’s range of microphones were also used.
Turbosound’s NuQ Series full range speakers suitable for portable PA installations amplified by
its subwoofer were deployed. Tannoy’s surface-mount speakers and their subwoofers were
added, too, that comfortably blend in the space. The speakers were run by the amplifiers from the world-class brand Labgruppen. Mixer from Behringer and DJ Console from the Japanese major Pioneer DJ was chosen to add to the guest’s experience.
The
IMPACT
The audio solution impressed both the guests and owners of the stylish interiors. The stakeholders were too happy with the performance of the sound and timely support from the Alphatec team.
